Lyrics

The soil kicks back beneath my boots tonight
Two hollow blows are climbing through the stone

Fresh mortar splits along the chapel floor
Black roots curl around the iron nails
A shovel falls and trembles in the dust
Something below has found the weight above
Lantern glass begins to shake in rows
The graveyard wall leans inward with the sound

(The earth begins to pulse)
(The gravestones rumble in their throats)
(The darkness that should have stayed sealed)
(Opens again beneath our feet)

(On to the second burial)
(Drive the iron stakes deeper still)
Second burial, drag the daylight underground
Seal the mouth that learned to breathe beneath the town

(Lime dust swirls through the quarry before dawn)
(The coffin we buried yesterday groans from within)
(The gravekeeper’s lanterns sink one by one into the mud)
(A fissure races beneath our feet toward the old chapel)
(We sling the cold chain over our shoulders once more)
(We descend the ruined stairs into the depths of the earth)

Two knocks travel up the shaft
Every hanging lantern swings
Stone dust falls across our hands
The buried chamber opens wide

(On to the second burial)
(Drive the black breath back into the depths of the earth)
Second burial, drag the daylight underground
Seal the mouth that learned to breathe beneath the town

We reach the room beneath the first grave
The coffin hangs above a deeper pit
Mud runs down the walls in narrow streams
Each drop lands twice before the echo dies
A row of rusted spades begins to ring
The lower stones move outward one by one

Down
Again
Stone on bone
Earth on name
(Bury it)
(Deeper still)
(Until its breathing stops)
(Until the earth falls still)

One coffin lies below the other
Something between them still has teeth

The seam splits wide
We strike twice
The chamber bucks
Every shovel rings

(On to the second burial)
(Drive the black breath back into the depths of the earth)
Second burial, hammer every doorway shut
Let the grave remember nothing but the weight
(On to the second burial)
(Press the collapsing earth down with these hands)
Second burial, drive the iron deeper down
Two final blows and silence seals the ground

(Only two sounds linger until dawn)
Then the quarry goes still

Prompt

At 228 BPM, make Second Burial a fast, grief-heavy melodic death metal track led by ferocious growls, razor-edged riffs, harmonized guitar melody and double-time propulsion. Commit to MDM identity immediately with a two-note grave-knock guitar motif before the full chorus. Let drums alternate driving 2-beat, double bass, blast surges, and one crushing half-time collapse. Keep English and Japanese as co-primary lyric languages, with vocals growled except for a brief bridge whisper. Make choruses dark and oppressive rather than uplifting: keep them in a minor tonal center, avoid bright major-key lift, triumphant chord motion, or soaring melody, and let the hook come from growled rhythm, descending melody, and crushing harmonic weight. Reuse the grave-knock motif at transitions and after the breakdown with thicker harmony. Keep strings and low brass restrained behind the band. Preserve sectional dwell, sharp articulation, and a final surge that deepens despair without sounding victorious.
