Lyrics

They dragged the broken girders into the square
They raised a figure from the teeth of fallen streets
Every hand drove one more name beneath its skin
And no one asked what kind of mercy they had built

Its shoulders wore the weight of shattered bridges
Its ribs were made from rails that led nowhere
Children tied their vanished houses to its wrists
Old hands pressed their final letters in its chest
At dusk the welded face began to turn
A thousand borrowed memories moved inside
The crowd stepped back as ruined metal learned to breathe
Then every buried name began to speak

(The voices that prayed for salvation)
(Pile upon its shattered body)
(With every pain we forced it to bear)
(Its footsteps grow heavier still)

Wreckage Saint
(Rise O saint of the wreckage)
(Carve the vanished names into your flesh)
(Each time you shoulder another soul’s prayer)
(Your own being crumbles away)

(The saint walked through the city before dawn)
(The crushed streets groaned beneath its feet)
(People emerged from houses stripped of windows)
(Entrusting to it one by one all they had lost)
(Rings and photographs and rusted keys)
(Even farewells that had never found a voice)
(Each time they were cast into the hollow of its chest)
(Its colossal frame sank deeper beneath the burden)

We made a vessel from what could not be saved
We called it holy so we would not face the cost
Now every step is breaking something underneath
And still we feed it everything we lost

Wreckage Saint
Carry the names we could not carry home
Walk through the ruins wearing every debt
We built a savior out of what remained
Now watch our monument begin to break

(Make it bear no more)
(Carve no more names into it)
(This is no salvation)
(This is a tomb built from the wreckage)
(Shatter)
(And take the whole burden down with you)

It stops beneath the tower we never rebuilt
For the first time no one gives it another name

Wreckage Saint
Carry no more of what we refused to bear
(O saint of wreckage let your burden end here)
Break the frame that made our grief your skin
(Return the stolen names to the earth)
Wreckage Saint
No altar waits beyond this ruined road
(When your body finally falls apart)
A thousand voices rise without a shrine
(From within the wreckage cry out in your own voice)

(The saint was gone)
(Only the names remained)
(This time we will make no one bear them for us)

Prompt

Build Wreckage Saint as fast melodic death metal driven by double-time feel rather than BPM alone. Keep harsh growls as the lead identity in every major section, with stacked growls widening choruses and one low spoken bridge for contrast. English and Japanese both carry major sections. Guitars lead the genre core through cutting tremolo motion, palm-muted propulsion, galloping accents, and harmonized melodic lines over weighty bass and precise double bass. Use a descending three-note guitar figure as the wreckage motif, exposed early, then recalled in choruses, inverted at the mid-song memory point, and expanded in the finale. Create A to B contrast by dropping into a tighter, lower-density half-time passage before a forceful double-time return. Keep orchestration sparse and secondary, limited to dark low strings or distant metallic resonance. Preserve riff articulation at speed. Let the final chorus add counterlines, harsher layers, and rhythmic insistence instead of mere repetition.
