Lyrics

I walk the ash of cities where lanterns never die
Prints etch the ledger of a night that will not lie
Glass eyes watch the passing of a thousand empty vows
We trade our names for fragments and fold the sky around

A whisper pulls the seam of dawn
A thread of heat beneath the frost

Requiem for the broken road we bear
Raise the ember voice that will not yield
Through iron rain and silent gates we swear
To carry every fallen name to field

Bridges hang on memory like cobwebs of old light
Shadows hand me keys that hum with salted light
We build a fragile cathedral of borrowed bones and speech
Every breath a candle kept against the reaching breach

The gears remember how to turn
Even ruins keep a rhythm for the living to learn

Requiem for the broken road we bear
Lift the lantern high and set the dark aflame
From ash and iron let a chorus fill the air
We walk as one and speak the ancient name

Prompt

Requiem Style prompt A cinematic melodic metal requiem at 180-190 BPM. Combine crushing rhythmic guitars and precise double bass with warm orchestral strings and brass swells. Lead guitar and solo violin trade motifs and deliver harmonized neoclassical solos that answer vocal phrases. Open with bell and sparse piano motif to set the mood then build dynamics into intimate verses and explosive choruses. Vocals alternate feral growls and soaring clean leads with layered SATB backing in the chorus to maximize singalong potential. Use choir pads sparingly for climaxes and short tight reverbs on fast parts with lush long tails in the finale. Keep drums punchy with parallel compression and tight transient control and carve space in the mids to let vocals and leads breathe. Master for clarity and dynamic impact avoid overcompression and preserve transient attack. End with a brief instrumental coda where violin echoes the main theme as bells fade into silence. Emphasize catchy hooks and pacing.
